Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:
• Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day
• Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform
• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis
Main Duties: Must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Specimen collection will include all age groups and both Inpatients and Outpatients. Clerical tasks and computer data entry are a PSR responsibility. Must be customer service focused and professional.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, specimen requirements and basic computer use is helpful. Must comply with all DLO safety and compliance policies.
Required Experience: Current phlebotomy experience is preferred. Experience working / interacting with patients in a hospital setting is preferred.
Special Requirements: Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely both in person and on the telephone. Must have excellent dexterity. Will fill in for scheduled and unscheduled absences of phlebotomy staff. Must be neat and professional in appearance. Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor during stressful situations.
